Hot Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga
Mota Thai Yoga classes are taught with low lighting (illuminated by salt lamps and black lights). These yoga classes combine hatha and vinyasa yoga with ballet, pilates, and kickboxing to increase neuromuscular efficiency, body posture, balance, strength and power. Styles and techniques will vary depending on the goal of the day's class. Room is heated up to 90-100 degrees.
Suspension-Extension Coyopa Yoga
Mota Thai Yoga classes are taught with low lighting (illuminated by salt lamps and black lights). Suspension-Extension Coyopa Yoga is a class that utilizes ropes to enhance your yoga practice. It is usually taught with low lighting (illuminated by salt lamps). This class is focused on strengthening, relieving pain, and preventing injuries. It helps to release tension, strengthen muscles, and increase flexibility. Coyopa, or “lightening of the blood” is the equivalent of “chi” in the Mayan language. Some people also associate it with “kundalini” and the “awakening of the serpent.”
Sunday Ministries of Super Heavy Hatha
This class, similar to Yin Yoga, is a slower paced class, where students will do less postures, but hold them for longer, allowing for deeper stretches. These classes begin with low lighting (illuminated by salt lamps and black lights), but are darker than the other yoga classes at the studio. The lights are usually turned off at some point during class, to heighten the other senses. This class is heated between 80-90 degrees.
This class combines Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with Pilates and Aerobics. This class is heated between 80-90 degrees.
Donation Yin Yoga
In this slower paced class, postures are held for longer periods of time that a typical yoga class. This allows the muscles to relax, and the deep connective tissues to be gently stretched. This class is heated between 80-90 degrees.
Shiatsu massage uses acupressure techniques applied with the hands, thumbs, elbows, and knees. It has its roots from acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. It uses deep tissue pressure on the twelve body meridians. Shiatsu is performed on a padded mat with the client fully clothed.
Small Group Yoga Sessions
Small group yoga sessions are tailored to fit the needs of the clients' goals. Whether it is to tone the muscles and tighten the body for an upcoming wedding, help with balance and coordination for teen athletes, help build trust and healthy bodies for corporate office workers, or much more. Small group yoga can either be done at the studio, or Luiz can come to your place or business. Rates will vary depending on the situation. Call for more information.
Thai massage is more energizing than classic forms of massage. The therapist uses his/her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move the client into a series of yoga-like stretches. Acupressure, muscle compression, and joint mobilization are also used. In a thai massage, clients are fully dressed, and are asked to wear comfortable clothing.
Thai Yoga Session
Clients that have injuries, illnesses, or physical disabilities will benefit from this type of session. Thai yoga sessions are designed to bring about a state of balance in the body by helping release stagnated energy. Through assisted yoga poses, the therapist uses stretching and gentle twisting techniques including acupressure and shaitsu massage.
